National Education Policy 2020: The response of CBCI Office for Education and Culture

The Government approved the long-awaited National Education Policy (NEP) 2020

of India on 29th July 2020. It is in line with achieving United Nations Sustainable

Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education for all by 2030. Inclusive and

Equitable Quality Education and promoting lifelong opportunities for All is indeed a

goal to be achieved by India by moving towards 100% Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER)

by 2030. It is built on the foundational pillars of Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability

and Accountability and aims at making ‘India a global knowledge superpower’.
