Catholic Church is the biggest education provider in the world. Jesus the Divine Master said, “Go and teach all nations...” Inspired by this mandate, the Disciples of Christ and the Saints after them continued to fulfil this mission by educating and empowering the young all over the world. In India too we have more than 50,000 educational institutions including Universities, Colleges, Engineering and Medical Colleges, Management Institutes, Schools, Technical Schools, Schools for Special Children etc. For the Catholic Church it is a compelling mission of dedicated service carried out with love & compassion, extending the love and concern of Jesus Christ to young people. On the occasion of Teachers’ Day we felicitate our committed and selfless teachers wishing them God’s blessings.

On this day we salute all those teachers who daringly face the challenges of life in order to impart education to children living in remote areas of the country facing challenging situations in life daily.
