Webinar on celebrating the World Day for Catholic Education on 13th May 2021

Dear Fathers Brothers and Sisters,

World Day for Catholic Education

As you are aware, we are celebrating the World Day for Catholic Education on 13th May 2021. The theme for this year's Catholic Education Day is "those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength." (Isaiah 40:31). The World Catholic Education Day was launched in 2002 at a Congress of OIEC in Brasilia. It has been observed on the Day of the Ascension, which is 40 days after Easter. The Day is being relaunched by OIEC and other organizations this year for its 20th anniversary. The aim of the Day is to reflect on, recognize, and celebrate Catholic education. Please find attached a 8- page brochure about the World Day for Catholic Education 2021 and also a report of Interview with Educators from different parts of the world in connection with Global Compact on Education. Please organize in your schools, colleges and at the Institution level, some seminar or a meeting or some reflections to share with your teachers and students. Though the COVID period does not permit us to have celebrations in common yet please find some way to observe this day to commemorate the contribution we ought to make in the field of Education in India today.
